The island of Rab proudly holds the title as the island with the most sandy beaches and is one of the greenest on the Adriatic.
The island history
Many people like to visit cultural and historical sights during their vacation, and the island of Rab really has a lot to offer considering that it has been inhabited since 350 BC.
What makes the town of Rab recognizable are its four bell towers, which make the town look like a sailing ship with four masts, and you will be delighted by the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Vela Crikva), the church of St. Christopher, who is also the patron saint of the city of Rab, the church of St. Justine, the City lapidary, the Duke’s Palace, the entire town of Rab with medieval walls, stone streets and a handful of other monuments.
The old town is best experienced in the summer during the Rab Fair (July 25 – 27), when the historic core is transformed into a living stage of the Middle Ages.
Outdoor activities
For those with an adventurous spirit, whether you like to sail the sea, hike or explore hidden places, there are many activities that the island of Rab offers.
Rab has more than 100 km of cycling and hiking trails, you can be a fisherman for a day, various day trips by boat, sea kayaking, snorkeling, deep diving and various other activities.

Of course, there is also a rich gastronomic offer of various local delicacies, the famous Rab cake that you have to try and many events that you should not miss: Rab Fair, Kantuni, fishing evenings, Rab music evenings, Rab film festival, Rab jazz festival, knight tournaments, underwater photo marathon, various bicycle races, sailing regattas…
